Use a purpose-appropriate needle: universal for general fabrics, stretch for flexible knits and related materials, embroidery for embroidery or decorative specialty threads, denim for tightly woven fabrics, and wing for entredeux or hemstitches on natural fibers.
Match the needle to the thread, fabric type, and fabric weight; no one listed type is universal for every project.
How does the documented presser foot detach and attach?

Native snap-on feet. The documented foot snaps onto its holder: press the foot downward to disengage it; to attach, align the foot pins with the gap under the holder and press upward until the foot snaps into place.

Turn off the machine first. Remove the presser foot and bobbin cover, lift off the needle plate with the supplied screwdriver, and brush the feed teeth. For deeper cleaning, lift out the bobbin-case holder and bobbin case, brush the area, then reinstall the case and holder before replacing the needle plate and cover.
Use caution near the automatic thread-cutter knife and do not blow air into the bobbin-case area.

IDT™System down until it engages.
Note: Your machine is equipped with an IDT sensor. You will

You can also use the presser foot up/down buttons to
raise or lower the presser foot holder. Place the presser

foot snap onto the presser foot holder when lowered.
