How does the ordinary overlock foot attach?

Native snap-on feet. With power off and unplugged, raise the presser foot and turn the handwheel toward you until the needles are highest. Press the red ankle button, raise to extra lift, and remove the foot. While still at extra lift, place the replacement foot pin under the ankle groove, lower the foot, and press the red button so it snaps into place.
This proves only the documented foot-to-ankle pin/groove procedure; low-shank naming, adapter fit and optional or third-party foot compatibility remain unknown.
Use 2.5 for normal conditions. For less pressure turn counter-clockwise within 2.5 to 1; for more turn clockwise within 2.5 to 5, and always test on a fabric sample before the garment.
Adjustment depends on the fabric result; return the dial mark to 2.5 for the standard setting.
Turn power off and unplug, raise the needles fully, put thick fabric under the foot and lower the needles halfway into it. While holding the needles, loosen but do not remove the clamp screw, insert the replacement fully with its flat surface to the back, then tighten securely without overtightening.
For the A and/or B clamps, loosen both A and B clamp screws before inserting needles.
Use 1.0 for normal overlock stitching. When overedging stretch fabric such as knits or jersey, use 1.0–2.0 depending on desired gathering. When overedging light woven or loosely knit fabric, use 0.6–1.0 and apply gentle tension in front of and behind the foot. Test different settings before the garment.
The setting depends on the material and desired result; the machine automatically starts at 1.0 when a coverlock 4.0 stitch is selected.
