How do ordinary presser feet attach?

Place bobbin into bobbin holder with the thread unwinding counter clockwise.
Draw thread into notch (a) while holding the bobbin.
Pull thread toward the left and along the inside of spring (b) until it slips into notch (c) making sure that thread does not slip out of notch (a).
Pull thread out about 10 cm (4 inches).
Which way does the needle face?: Flat side to the back; insert it as far up as it will go and tighten the clamp.
Turn off the power before removing the needle.
Insert new needle into needle clamp with the fl at side to the back and push it up as far as it will go.
Tighten the needle clamp screw.
